30 years of CAP - no more general cropping, less fodder, just as many geographical disparities

Around 1970, agricultural land in France underwent a redistribution that was boosted by the setting up of the common agricultural policy (CAP). The fodder areas that had been on the increase for more than 100 years began to regress to the advantage of general cropping which spread geographically around the Beauce heartland. However, a deeper analysis shows that, apart from a few exceptions, all the country was affected by an increase in general cropping bolstered to the detriment of fodder areas and that the CAP did not shatter the proportional positioning of the departments.
